We arrived back in Bucharest this evening around 6:00PM. Long drive, but went very smoothly. We had good weather. No rain or snow. Some fog. Stopped at a restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. Great place that looked like a mountain lodge with lots of woodwork. Had the special for the day for about $6. Four course meal with soup, bread, salad, cabbage rolls & sourkraut, crepe for dessert, bottled water. Awesome deal.
We are exhausted and will most likely hit the sack early tonight. Such a fabulous trip to Timisoara and Arad.
We got the Bible study books and DVD’s; met lots of new folks; introduced my friends, Frank and Diane to some neat people who will be working with them in the future; got free cups of coffee at Starbucks; had great fellowship with Liviu and Mary; ate at McDonald’s; Frank spoke briefly at the youth meeting at the Rock Church; and a few other little things.
Tomorrow, we will be going to the glass factory to find some very inexpensive votives or something to use on the tables at the Spring Women’s Leadership conference. Then we will go by Holy Trinity to take a look at the building and various things for the conference. Then we will go to a market frequented mainly by Romanians and not expats or Americans. We will be having dinner with the IMB missions coordinator and his family on Friday night. Camie will be helping us with the conference.
On Saturday, we will be meeting with Pastor Cornel of Holy Trinity to discuss the conference. It is the oldest Baptist church in Bucharest.
More later! Much love! Paulette
