Well, it was a great day, but way too hot again!! Debby’s car thermostat said 106 degrees. I felt every degree!! I can’t remember sweating as much as I did today.
Anyway, on to more pleasant details. Scott and I had a fairly easy morning catching up on some communication, phone calls and ministry stuff.

At 1:00PM we walked down to Debby’s house at the end of the village. We had a lovely visit there in her new home (gorgeous!!) and met her son, Paul, as we drank a cold glass of ice tea (with ice!!). We then toured the Christian school which she and her husband started. She is no longer the director in order to spend more time with her son before he graduates.

We headed to Alfa Omega TV Productions so I could meet with Mirela about the “Believing God” Bible study DVD’s. Very good meeting. Mirela was so tickled that she became a Bunica today! (Grandmother). The picture here with me is her first one as Buni. I am thankful to say that the project is going well, even though we are still behind schedule.

Another neat thing was that a young woman who works with Mirela helped us as we first arrived. I recognized her from somewhere other than AO, so I asked her if I had met her before. It turns out that she had attended the Leadership conference I had done there in October of 2008 and had been a recipient of one of the gift bags in the drawing. When I asked her about “Isus Singurul si Unicul” (Jesus the One and Only), she said she was almost through it. She said she loved it and could hardly wait until the next one came out “Believing God.” What an encouragement to me!!

Then we headed to Timisoara Square where Debby dropped us off to do some quick shopping.
Finally, we connected again with Daniel just outside the big cathedral. We headed to a large store to get storage boxes and tape for ministry stuff to stay here in Romania. No sense taking it home to just bring it right back here again later.

We had dinner in a nice restaurant out in the square and ate Ciorba. I had never eaten it before. It was quite good, but I wasn’t able to finish it. It was ham on a plate and a bowl of large white navy beans in a thick soup which you pour over the ham. Yum! Had a salad as well.

Well, in spite of the fact that I was full from dinner, we just had to try the ice cream cones at the little kiosk. Too many calories today!!! I hope I walked and sweated enough to make up for them.

Okay, it’s late and I’m pooped.
