Greetings, Everyone!
Just a quick note to say I arrived safely in Houston yesterday. Very, very tired, since I was not able to sleep on the planes. The first flight out from Bucharest threatened to be very delayed, due to the computer check-in system being down. However, we got off with just a very short delay. Just before take-off, a flight attendant came back to the Economy class to give me a glass of champagne and shaved almonds for a birthday gift from Lufthansa. How very considerate of them. Out of gratitude, I took a few sips and ate the almonds, but quickly passed the mostly full glass back for take-off. Can’t say I was prepared for champagne at 6:10AM in the morning!
The second flight was very full with over 650 pieces of luggage. Of course, my one checked back was one of the last to be unloaded. You know – first in, first out. For you accounting folks, you should appreciate that FIFO comment!
We drove home to the farm via Lufkin, put my birthday flowers in water, ate a quick bite of birthday cake and enjoyed my wonderful cards from Caleb and Charlie.
I viewed all my Birthday greetings from FB and email friends this morning.
I feel so loved. Thanks to all!!
It is bright and sunny here today, but still in the upper 40’s. Hope it really warms up this weekend as we begin Spring Break.
Will head to Nacogdoches to replace Caleb’s broken glasses and then go for an early dinner with my guys this evening in Lufkin. Mexican food, here we come!!!
Much love to all and thanks for your prayers. The Lord is gracious and merciful in all things.
